The Gasparilla Concours d'Elegance

is an official club event of the

Hillsborough Region AACA

(Antique Automobile Club of America)

Anyone can submit a vehicle for consideration!

The Gasparilla Concours d'Elegance is by invitation only.  The Concours Selection Committee invites those vehicles that they feel best exemplify the annual theme and class structure.  2019 theme is  "100 YEARS OF HISTORIC VEHICLES". A specific class will be designated  for 1919 Vehicles.

Several factors are taken into consideration for accepting a vehicle for the Gasparilla Concours d'Elegance.

The following information and guidelines should help clarify the consideration given to each vehicle.

The participants are selected by a qualifying committee comprised of  several experts in the field of vintage & classic vehicles, designated to evaluate the historical importance of the vehicle, the quality of the condition, the original nature of the vehicle, the nature of the restoration as original, and the overall rare qualities of the vehicle that appeal most to the spectators of the event.

Vehicles newer than 1994 are generally not considered.  Vehicles must be 25 years and older. Each year special consideration is given to vehicles of a "featured class."  Special consideration is also given to those vehicles associated with the career of the Honoree.  Our Honoree for 2019 is yet to be announced.  In the area of exotic cars and race cars, the Car Selection Committee does, from time to time, invite a newer model if the vehicle adds a sense of completeness and balance to a particular class.

The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum
