Kechi Okwubi, a finalist in "America's Got Talent" will tell us about her inspiring journey after a plane crash that killed 107 people, she and one other survived. After hundreds of surgeries, many at Shriners Hospital for Children, she was able to create beautiful music again and sang her way to the finals of AGT and the hearts of millions. Kechi will also honor us with singing the National Anthem opening the Gasparilla Concours d'Elegance.
Ali McManus, Singer / Songwriter
My journey has been a series of twists and turns… and I mean that literally. Life – and my body itself – have thrown me some serious curves. But music saved my life. One song means three minutes of no pain, and I can say things with song that I can’t speak in words alone.
I don’t see myself as a person in a wheelchair. I see myself as a regular person who just happens to sit down all day. I don’t sweat the small stuff, and I believe positivity is the only way. I write songs that reflect my life, and I hope to connect with people through my lyrics and inspire with my message. Music has been my greatest healer. Through music, I have become UNBREAKABLE.

A GREAT WAY TO DISPLAY WHY WE ARE DOING THIS...
FOR THE LOVE OF GREAT CARS, OUR COMMUNITY, AND THE CHARITIES WE SUPPORT!
The 2019 Gasparilla "Cars in the Park" will feature the cars from our 2019 Gasparilla
Great Endurance Run, held one month earlier. Sixteen cars, 1909 and older, will
re-enact the original 1909 Tampa to Jacksonville "Great Endurance Run". The
starting point is marked with a historical marker in downtown Tampa, another
midway in Kissimmee, and another historical marker at the final destination in
Jacksonville. These cars will have traveled over 250 miles, from Thursday to
Friday, March 7-8, 2019, arriving just in time to participate in the Heacock Classic
Auto Insurance "Cars & Coffee" on Saturday morning at the 2019 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.
A major film documentary will be made of the 2019 Gasparilla Great Endurance Run, starting in Tampa, throughout the journey to Jacksonville, onto the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance where the cars will be on display at the Heacock Classic Cars & Coffee the day prior to the Amelia Island Concours. The documentary ends with the Gasparilla Concours d'Elegance. We have a tentative approval of voice over commentary with a surprise major celebrity to be announced!
What else can you expect to see on display...
* Unique vehicles from the Tampa Bay Auto Museum, including the 1770 replica
of the Fardier de Cugnot, a 3 ton steam vehicle thought to be the first motorized
* A selection of 1919 vehicles for the "100 year old cars" class/category,
including the 1919 Pierce Arrow from the Presidential Library of Woodrow
Wilson in Virginia (given to the President after signing the Treaty of Versailles)
* Sixteen vehicles, 1909 and older, who will be selected to participate in the 2019
Gasparilla Great Endurance Run one month prior to the Concours, who will have
rallied from Tampa to Jacksonville as a re-enactment of the 1909 original Endurance
